Technical Datasheet Updates January 2026

Glazing Expansion Allowances

* Following a recent review of glazing operations, it was found that the current 5mm allowance in the height does not allow for a sufficient exapnsion gap and a glazing setting block. As a consequence, we have decided to increase the allowance in height to 7mmm. So, for example, a 250mm wide x 1480mm high finished aperture required glass at 245mm wide x 1473mm high.

* We have updated the standard glazing system and the standard aperture drawings t reflect this change. Revised drawings can be found in the Technical folder on the shared drive or can be downloaded from the relevant sections of the Technical Datasheet.

* A 7mm allowance applies to both glazed apertures in door leaves and to the glass in side screens.

* If you have any questions please ask.
