* Following changes to Warringtonfire procedures relating to the issue and renewal of Certifire supplements to mirror certificates, Doorpac has been required to apply for Certifire Prime Door Manufacturer status.This process is now nearing completion.
* The updated certificates contain major revisions on what we can offer with regards side screens.
* Highlighted revisions include the following:
- Side screens can only be fitted to Single Acting Single Door assemblies only
- Side screens to be specified with four sided frames independent to the door frame
- Side screens may incorporate any appropriate Certifire approved glazing system
- Side screen & door frame sections MUST be equal
- Side screen to incorporate 1nr full height 20 x 2mm Palusol intumescent seal in the jamb abutting the door frame
- Back to back joints must be tightly butted together & mechanically fixed using a staggered twin line of steel screws from each face
- Screw fixings must penetrate the adjacent element to at least half depth of the component
- Fixings at a maximum of 150mm from the top & bottom corners at maximum 250mm centres
- Fanlights & over panels are NOT permitted in conjunction with side screens

* Existing orders and revisions to quotations should continue to be specified as before
